Embryology
The development of the foot during the intra-uterine growth (morphogenesis) is very early : during the 2nd month of life. The embryonic period relates to the life before the
8th week. The accidents of formation occurring very early (during the embryonic life) cause malformations of the feet, serious pathologies. The accidents of formations occurring after the 8th
week (during the foetal life) are at the origin of deformations (like
the club-foot varus equine) or more tardily of malpositions (like the
metatarsus adductus).
